So with this in mind, our team decided to introduce a ‘pay it forward’ board in store where people can use a tag towards the purchase of a book. These tags allow anyone to enjoy a book of their own, with no questions asked.

At checkout, you can leave a message for our booksellers to include with the tag, such as “£5 to use on a book with a female lead” or “£10 on a children’s book with a nature theme“ or “£15 to use on books that bring happiness” or simply to gift someone a book that you enjoyed yourself.
