Katie Reviews ~ The Man Who Died Twice by Richard Osman
The Man Who Died Twice is a fantastically fun book that continues from Richard Osman’s first book The Thursday Murder club, following the four main characters (Elizabeth, Joyce, Ibrahim, and Ron) who live in a retirement village. The light-hearted sarcasm between the characters has you laughing out loud at their antics as Elizabeth is contacted by her Ex-husband who has stolen diamonds from a mobster and is now in hiding.
This book has a strong crime plot running all the way through it, that never lacks pace but at the same time contains character development that has you connecting to each and every character. We learn that you are never too old for an adventure and even the most unlikely of person can make a difference in solving a serious crime.
For me, this is the kind of book, that you read on a weekend to unwind curled up in Infront of the fire with a cup of tea. This book connects with all ages and leaves everyone laughing in its wake.
Fun Fact: Spielberg has brought the rights to transform this book into a film
