Personal Shopping Experience
Books are a special gift to give because they truly are the gift that keeps on giving. Yet sometimes it can be hard to decide which book/s to buy, especially for a friend or loved one who is already an avid reader. Our personal shopping experience allows you to give them the gift of a book that you know they will enjoy as they can sit down with one of our booksellers and choose from a wide range of books that they would like to buy.
What’s included-
Once you purchase a gift experience one of our booksellers will create a gift letter that can be sent directly to you or to the gift recipient via Royal Mail*. The gift letter includes details on the experience and how to book in their experience with ourselves.
About the experience~
After receiving a beverage of your choice our booksellers will sit down with you in a comfy chair to talk about the books you enjoy reading. They will spend ten minutes talking to you about your interests; such as your hobbies, favourite genres, and favourite authors. This will allow our booksellers to get an idea of the type of book/s that we think you would like.
Our bookseller will then go and collect a range of books from around the shop. Once they have collected an eclectic mix of exciting books, our bookseller will take the time to go through them all, to help you decide which books you would like to use your gift experience vouchers to purchase from their selection. Our bookseller will then go and gift wrap the ones you have chosen whilst you enjoy your beverage or browse the shop. The books will be placed into a Books On The Hill tote bag, which is included as part of their experience.
The whole experience will last around 40 minutes to an hour.
*Please let us know which address you would like it to be sent to when completing your online order. You can also provide a gift message at checkout which our booksellers will include in your recipient’s gift letter.
