Kate Stephenson~ Connections with Nature

  • Books on the Hill 1 Holywell Hill St Albans, England, AL1 1ER United Kingdom (map)

We are excited to welcome author Kate Stephenson to celebrate her new book 'Connections with Nature'.

Writer and environmental journalist Kate Stephenson (from the blog 'Kate on Conservation'), and local artist, poet, illustrator, and nature writer Chloé Valerie Harmsworth share their experience of creating the anthology 'Connections With Nature: 50 moments of meeting the wild'.

In conjunction with St Albans Museum's 'Remarkable Trees' exhibition, cover illustrator Chloé will share some of the inspirations for her artwork, including her pieces that can be seen at the Remarkable Trees event until 23rd January 2022. We will also be joined by local wildlife photographer Steve Shand, who has photography work included in the book, and St Albans-born musician, Nick Stephenson, who has the lyrics to his songs 'Shining Trees' and 'Forest Song' printed in the anthology -- which he will bring to life with live music at the event.

About the book~

In this brand new anthology; Connections With Nature: 50 moments of meeting the wild, join the collective of nature-loving storytellers, known as ‘The Wildlife Blogger Crowd’, on a journey to meet the wild.

Through 50 tales of memorable moments with nature, this anthology serves to remind us of the wonders of the natural world, the benefits of making connections with wildlife and wild spaces, and highlights how our lives are often a lot more entwined with ‘the wild’ than we might immediately realise.
