Join us for a new series of workshops, taking place in our Reading Rooms during the week. This series is an introduction to different skill sets that can help calm the mind and is perfect for those wishing to be introduced to a new range of activities.
The session ~
For March we will be undertaking a knit and natter session, where you can bring along your knitting projects, old and/or new for a relaxing afternoon. This will be a relaxed session where we will discuss past projects, how we came to knitting, or why you are starting to knit. Our session leader will also help with queries such as how to cast on or how to go about finding patterns.
This event is ideal for all knitters, and we will discuss some basic principles of knitting, how to approach a new reference piece, and the best techniques.
Tea and coffee will be available throughout the session.
Places are limited so to avoid disappointment we do recommend booking your place here.
Materials~
We encourage you to bring a selection of the materials listed below:
A set of knitting needles
Wool
A pattern (if using one)
Some materials will be available on the day but we advise you to bring your own so that you can continue creating after this session.
