This year we will be supporting author Sue Stuart-Smith as she talks about her book ‘The Well Gardened Mind’.

The event
A vibrant garden replete with perennials grown from seed and striking foliage plants including Chinese rice-paper plants, foxglove trees, chusan palms, cardoons, echium and honey flowers. Gravel garden out front leads to a back garden divided into separate beds (including bog garden, with giant rhubarb, ligularia and hosta) and which ends in a glade of bamboo shaded by maple trees.

'On Friday 9 July at 7.30pm local author Sue Stuart-Smith will speak about her new book, The Well Gardened Mind - Rediscovering Nature in the Modern World. Copies of the book will also be available, with the support of Books on the Hill'.
