Festival Special- Classic Text Workshop~ Introduction to: Drama

  • Books on the Hill 1 Holywell Hill St Albans, England, AL1 1ER United Kingdom (map)

Introducing our new Classic Texts Workshop, specifically designed for students and adults hoping to learn more about a classic text or period. We will be running sessions throughout the year which will be held in our Reading Rooms. Pen and paper will be provided and tea and coffee are included in the price of your ticket.

During this workshop, we will be undertaking an introduction to Drama! Most students will study this genre at some point in their course, and the tropes and styles of the four main forms of drama (which are comedy, tragedy, tragicomedy, and melodrama) are enjoyed on the page as well as on the stage.

Have you ever wondered about the origins of drama? Or wish to learn more about classic pieces?

We will be looking at extracts from the classics such as Priestly, Shakespeare, and Williams.

This workshop is perfect as an introduction to the genre, an opportunity to discuss your ideas, and ask questions we can talk about as a group.

The entire workshop should last 50-60 minutes and is suitable for students and adults aged 15+ years.

Book your place here.
