Evan Reviews: The Fellowship of the Ring

The Fellowship of the Ring is the first part of J. R. R. Tolkiens’s classic tale The Lord of The Rings. It is a thrilling tale of adventure and courage. This book is one of my favourite books of the year - we start with a young Hobbit called Frodo Baggins and he lives in the Shire. At his Uncle Bilbo’s 111th birthday he meets the wizard Gandalf.

Gandalf finds out about Bilbo’s ring which was once owned by the Dark Lord Sauron. Bilbo leaves the ring to Frodo, and Gandalf sends him on a journey to Mordor and the fires of Mount Doom. Frodo sets off on this journey and finds many friends along the way! This is a brilliant masterpiece by renowned author J. R. R Tolkien which is written superbly; it still inspires people today.
