Samuel Reviews: You Are A Champion

This is an inspirational book for keen footballers or anyone in general who is lacking in confidence and wants some tips. I wanted to read this book because I love playing football and admire Marcus Rashford, who plays for Manchester United and England and who helped vulnerable children during lockdown with his free school meal scheme.

I really enjoyed the book because Marcus explains is personal struggles in a poignant way and how you can be the best Version of yourself.

The biggest lesson is to stop comparing yourself to other people and just try your best. You can only control yourself and there is no point worrying about things outside of your control like what other people might think about you.

He also explains how “mistakes” should not be focused on as they are learning opportunities. As Marcus says, “failure can be your friend.” He gives lots of useful tips on how to make the most of life in whatever you choose to do, such as appreciating and being grateful to people who love you.

Furthermore, he recommends behaving in a confident way, even if you are outside your comfort zone, so that you are more likely to feel confident. To conclude, I would really recommend this book to everyone to help have the best and most successful life possible!
